Patriot Daily Quotes is published by Plainword Media LLC. The app is built to work without collecting personal information about you. This policy explains what that means in practice, and describes the two exceptions: optional ads and subscription purchases.

Information the app does not collect

The app has no accounts and no sign-in. You are never asked for your name, email address, phone number, or any other identifying information.

The app itself contains no analytics software. It does not record which quotes you read, how often you open the app, or how you use it. The only exception is the optional ads described below, which are provided by Google.

Information stored on your device

Some information is saved on your phone so the app can work as expected:

This information stays on your device. It is not transmitted to us or to anyone else, and we have no way to access it. Uninstalling the app deletes it.

Notifications

Daily quote notifications are scheduled by the app on your device. No information is sent to a server to deliver them, and nothing about your notification activity is reported back to us. You can turn notifications off at any time in your phone's settings.

Optional ads

If you do not subscribe, you can choose to watch a short ad to read the story behind a single quote. An ad only plays when you tap Watch Ad. Subscribers never see ads.

Ads are provided by Google AdMob. When an ad loads, Google may collect and use information such as your device's advertising ID, your IP address and approximate location, and information about how the ad was shown and viewed. Google uses this to deliver and measure the ad and to prevent fraud.

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before ads are personalized. You can change your choice at any time under Ad privacy choices in the Almanac tab.

You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings, usually under Settings, then Google or Privacy, then Ads.

Subscription purchases

If you subscribe to unlock premium content, the purchase is processed by Google Play. We use a service called RevenueCat to verify that a subscription is active and to keep it working across your devices.

For subscribers, RevenueCat receives a purchase identifier from Google Play, along with basic technical information such as your device type, operating system version, app version, and IP address. This is used only to confirm and manage the subscription.

We never receive your payment card details. Those are handled entirely by Google Play and are never visible to us.

If you do not subscribe, none of this applies to you.

Information sharing

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with data brokers. Information leaves your device only in the two cases described above: to Google AdMob when you choose to watch an ad, and to the payment and subscription services required to make a subscription work.

Data retention and deletion

Because we hold no accounts and no personal profiles, there is no stored record of you to delete. Information saved on your device is removed when you uninstall the app.

Information Google collects when an ad is shown is kept and handled under Google's privacy policy.

If you subscribe and want subscription records associated with your purchase removed, write to the address below and we will process the request.

Children

Patriot Daily Quotes is intended for adults aged 18 and over. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
